Because the Skiverbund is introducing WLAN to the pistes and a fantastic new service application.

The biggest skiing enjoyment in all of Austria on 860 kilometres of pistes
Fun on the slopes for experienced skiers and new instructional methods for beginners
Five different regions make up Austria’s biggest ski alliance – the Ski amadé: Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Grossarltal. And everywhere this coming winter, rookie skiers will have all kinds of good fun as they “get down to business”. With the help of a special motivational method, ski courses for adults now become more effective than ever. And those who don’t need a course anymore will be able to look forward to 256 slopes totaling 860 kilometres in length, 270 lifts, along with 260 ski chalets, lodges and mountain restaurants.

Just three days – that’s all the time adults need to learn to ski here in Ski amadé. Always with a great sense of humor, the ski instructors of our five regions, the Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Grossarltal, teach their students how to slice down the slopes perfectly.

Digital offensive at Ski amadé: Website and App now even more user friendly, WLAN coverage on the slopes continues to expand
Radstadt, September 2012 – Ski amadé, Europe’s biggest winter sports area with 860 kilometres of pistes, offers even more practical features for the digital ski lifestyle as of the 2012/2013 season: High-resolution 3D shots of the region were added to the website. The 2.0 version of our popular “Ski amadé Guide” app contains a new geo map that allows users to pinpoint destinations more accurately. And beginning in October 2012, users will also be able to synch easily between their PC and mobile device. The biggest free WLAN network in the Alps was expanded even more, and is now accessible virtually everywhere on the Ski amadé slopes.
