The perfect tobogganing experience in Ski amadé

Tobogganing is fun, tobogganing is great! No matter the age, everyone gets excited about a tobogganing excursion. At Austria’s biggest ski network Ski amadé, winter guests can choose whether they want to walk up the mountain on foot or take a tobogganing taxi. 

During the ascent up to the mountain station, you’ll already see light shining from the windows of the rustic mountain restaurants. Just enter one of the cosy huts and have a seat! Regional delicacies and welcoming hosts will turn your pit stop into a wonderful experience – until it’s finally time to hop on a toboggan and head into your downhill adventure. 

Many of the toboggan runs in Ski amadé offer rental services in addition to perfect tobogganing conditions. That way, you don’t have to bring your own toboggan, and you can hurl yourself down the mountain on perfectly sharpened runners. Steep passages, well secured curves and spectacular views included, of course!

The best tobogganing regions in Salzburg and Styria

Your feet off the ground, fingers tightly wrapped around the reins, you’re leaning back as you whoosh down the mountain. The airflow gently caresses your face while you’re grinning from ear to ear. 

Curve after curve, you’re approaching the valley. Whether it’s at Salzburger Sportwelt, in Schladming-Dachstein, in Gastein, on the Hochkönig or at Grossarl Valley: You’ve got tons of options for superb tobogganing fun. 

18, 5, 2, 2 and 1 – or 28 toboggan runs in total in all of Ski amadé. The five resorts spanning two federal states offer holiday guests and locals plenty of winter fun and downhill thrills. The natural toboggan runs are practically guaranteed to make you laugh and squeal with joy. 

By the way: Tobogganing taxis aren’t the only option to get to the start of the toboggan runs. In Schladming-Dachstein, you can take the cable car up the Hochwurzen, for instance.
 

The longest toboggan run in Salzburg
The winter sports facilities in Radstadt / Altenmarkt is enriched with the longest toboggan run in Salzburg and an attractive facet. It has an almost endless tobogganing fun!

Winter pleasure with lots of fun on the floodlit Aeroplan natural toboggan run: ascent with the Schlossalm lift, Toboggan-hire at Finish Oberhaitzing, 3.3 km long, altitude difference approx. 450m, time required approx. 30 mins., Skiing area Schlossalm – Aeroplanstadl – Weinetsberg

Numerous cleared service roads and forest roads with very little traffic, ideal for walking and sledding. (No liability is assumed for accidents.)

The 7 km long, floodlit natural toboggan run on the Hochwurzen invites you to try a family trip.
