Innovations for the season 2011/2012

Of course Ski amadé has also made numerous innovations for the new skiing season. About 80 million euros have been spent on improving the ski sports facilities. There will be one new cable car, as well as two new chair lifts. Moreover new slopes, more efficient snow machines and much more contribute to make skiing and snowboarding in Ski amadé more convenient and entertaining, with a greater guarantee of snow.

There has already been heavy investment in Schladming-Dachstein's winter sports infrastructure in preparation for the 2013 Alpine Ski World Championships. The new Planai valley station, known as Planet Planai, is already emerging in Schladming. The design is unusual: the building's outer skin will enfold it like an outsize wrap.

Ski amadé 3.0 - WLAN on the slopes and a brandnew Ski amadé mobile application

From the season 2011/2012 on, Ski amadé offers for all skiers and snowboarders that are interested in technics and are enthusiastic smartphone-users as a unique delicacy in the Alps at about 200 free wireless hotspots in the area a brandnew Ski amadé application, the "Ski amadé Guide". The application will be available free for both, iPhone and Android. The foundation of the app is the Ski amadé panorama. With the new app, users can retrieve detailed information about the ski areas, check the weather and snow conditions, as well as information about room availability, or get information about individual regions. During the skiing day trail maps and information support our guests in orientation.
