The Starchen Stadl is a place of encounter. A forge of friendship. For you, we really put our backs into it. Our delicious food and beverages come mostly from our own agriculture and hunting. The variety of schnapps is distilled by the senior chef with great skill and in the highest quality. The farmer bread kneads the senior boss with great passion on the farm itself. It is thanks to the creativity of Sepp, the landlord, that the barn with its unmistakable flair shines in new splendor. All carpentry work on the building as well as the loving details in the hut he has realized himself.
The good soul of the house is Kati: she keeps everything and everyone together - because she builds and maintains friendships, personally greets guests and remembers who likes what best. Josef Junior provides the musical highlight with his unusual talent: he plays the accordion while riding the hoverboard. His little brother Johannes accompanies him on the trumpet.
Why are we doing all this?
Because we want you to feel at home with us and have a really good time here. And because tradition, cordiality and hospitality are close to our hearts. We are completely honest about that. And you will feel that: when partying in the après-ski area as well as when relaxing in the champagne lounge or feasting on the roof terrace. Zur Haustür hinaus, Ski anschnallen und los geht`s – während die anderen im Tal noch auf den Lift warten wedelst du schon durch den frischen Pulverschnee!
Seit Winter 2013/14 haben wir – Sandra und Hans Peter Gruber – das traditionelle Wagrainer Haus übernommen. Es liegt nur wenige Meter von unserem Almstadl entfernt.
Wir begrüßen Sie auf 1750m Höhe im Ski- und Wandergebiet Flachau-Wagrain. Aufgrund der einzigartigen Lage erreicht man uns im Winter nur mittels Gondel oder Skiern (bis 16.00 Uhr) – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.
Freundlichkeit und Gastlichkeit kombiniert mit Standards die in unserer Region üblich sind. Nicht zu vergessen, unser aus Amerika importierter Barbecue-Smoker, aus dem wir ab sofort wieder die legendären und schmackhaften Spare Ribs servieren.
