The Strassalm is located in between of the valley stations of 3 chairlifts: Sonntagskogel, Strassalm and Hirschkogel.

The owners place great value on the quality of the meals they are serving, cooking whenever possible with products from the house-own farm!

On brilliantly beautiful winter days, the small hut out on the terrace is also open.
You can then enjoy your break out there on the sundeck!

We spoil you culinarily with fish and game specialities from the region as well as products from our own organic agriculture and serve you excellent Austrian wines and drinks. The Zirbenstube offers a special flair.

Die urige Garnhofhütte liegt auf 1350 m direkt im Herzen von Zauchensee. Als eine der ersten Almhütten steht Sie seit über 200 Jahren mitten in unserem schönen Skigebiet. 

Für Genießer ist allerdings Zweiteres, das Bauernladenstüberl ein heißer Tipp: Denn dort gibt es nachweislich den besten Käse Österreichs. Im Sommer 2018 gewann Familie Aichhorn („Kreebauer“) vom Bauernladenstüberl mit der Genusskrone die höchste und nur alle 2 Jahre vergebene Auszeichnung aller Direktvermarkter des Landes für den besten Schnittkäse Österreichs 2018 und 2019. Diesen Gaumenschmaus sollte man sich keinesfalls entgehen lassen.

At our Gasthof Mühlbauernstube in Saalfelden, it's not just a love of cookery that takes top priority, the use of high-quality ingredients is also important. They must be fresh and as far as possible from the region. In the cosy parlour you can feast with joy and pleasure or enjoy the warming winter sun on our wonderful sun terrace. Skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and winter hikers - but of course all non-sports enthusiasts and connoisseurs are also welcome here at any time.

From 9th to 16th of March 2024, the Burgstallhütte will be dedicated to the motto "Wine meets cheese and sweets – wines from all over Austria with dessert and cheese".
Wine enjoyment from the large bottle, special cheese platters and dessert variations are offered daily.
