The Dachstein is the Alps' first glacier seen from the east, and it is one of Styria's five most visited destinations. Even the ascent in the Dachstein gondola is an impressive adventure. Without lift pillar, it brings its passengers on a level of 2700 m, conquering about 1000 metres of difference in altitude in only eight minutes, passing sheer rock walls.

The mountain restaurant Bodenalm is one of the ski lodges in Zauchensee/Flachauwinkl. Skiers make their stop-off here and non-skiers can travel comfortably with the Highliner I on the top. Treat yourself to the dreamlike sun terrace and a  little time out and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views.

Highly qualified ski instructors will gladly introduce you to the "secrets" of winter sports in Großarl in the beautiful Ski amadé ski area in the Grossarl Valley! Our ski school Toni Gruber was founded in 1989 and since 2012 we are also represented in Großarl. Since the first day we try to offer our professional service in the sport we feel called to: Winter sports!

Winter sports should be fun, right from the start. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, everyone has their own goals - we will help you to achieve them in a fun and easy way!

Whether you are standing on skis for the first time or simply want to make your turns in the snowy slopes with more feeling and beauty, we are at your side with our years of experience!

In addition to technical aids such as video analysis, small groups are a matter of course for us - only in this way is optimal learning success guaranteed!

Anyone who strives for higher goals and has the necessary commitment will find all the opportunities for challenges on the mountain at the Klaus Ski School, especially since the Hochkönig region and our experienced ski instructors open all doors for this. Adrenaline-filled variant trips with steep slopes, deep snow or bumps are still the ultimate for freeriders and individualists.

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! The way to the heart is through the stomach, and at the Jufenalm you can taste tradition! Our à-la-carte restaurant will spoil you with hearty and typically Austrian dishes that are prepared for you freshly, with plenty of passion, by using the best regional and seasonal produce. You can’t forget to have a delicious self-distilled schnapps to help you digest your meal though, of course!
