Our restaurant Tennestadl, which opened in 2016 and has 96 seats inside and 60 seats on the west-facing terrace, is located directly in the Hohenhaus Tenne, yet shielded from the hype. Easily enter, difficult to get out - the Steinbock Schirm is at the valley station of the 6-seater chairlift Hochmais in Hinterthal and the perfect location for a short break during or after a skiing day.

The Fichtel country on Hochbifang in Altenmarkt
On the Altenmarkt side of the Radstadt / Altenmarkt there on Hochbifang a unique forest with very special trees. In this forest grow namely spruces with extraordinary abilities! Every year in winter the spruce throw their Fichtenzapfen on the forest floor, and from some of these pins there are formed small creatures that exist only in this forest in Altenmarkt: the Fichtel!

The Naturfreunde-Schutzhaus Kaiblingalm lies at 1778 metres above sea level, in the midst of a nature jewel. The stone pine trees, the mountain pines, the small, hidden away lakes, and the bowls give our "Alm" its unique character. Here, in the Kaiblingalm area, you can simply sit back and unwind.

In winter, we try to pass on to our guests some of this piece and quiet by not turning on loud music in our dining rooms and on the terrace. Naturally we would like our visitors to enjoy good food and drink, that we prepare for you with care. Traditional, hearty local dishes will be a pleasurable culinary experience. To prepare the dishes, we use mainly local produce which we get directly at the producers. As to coffee and tea, we purchase the free-trade alternative.

Overnight stay at the Kaiblingalm

Do you remember how dark a night can be, how a sky full of stars looks like? Far away from disturbing advertising lights, you can experience this particular view from here. Away form the busy world, there is not much noise in our valley basin.

Our restaurant is located right next to the entrance of Highliner I Flachauwinkl - Zauchensee and to the ski bus stop with connection to the lifts to Kleinarl. Therefore, the 's' Ofentürl "offers a perfect culinary Ski stopover.

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet with regional delicacies, freshly prepared egg dishes, home-made jams, everything that you could wish for. To give you energy for your active, if requested we can provide a “Hoamat-Jause” bag of snacks. In the evening enjoy being spoiled with not only our international dishes, but also original Pinzgau specialities or vegetarian dishes.

The Chapel of Peace was built to create a place of silence, contemplation and prayer. It is geared ecumenically, in the spirit of Taizé.
