Because up here, 1000 meters above sea level, embedded in this unique mountain and hilly landscape, sin seems to have been born. Equipped with a 1,800 m² wellness landscape of diverse pool and sauna world, beautifully designed relaxation rooms with personal resting place, fitness zones, beauty & spa treatments and all this with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain panorama of the Grossarl Valley in Salzburg Land! In addition, a weekly program is offered with yoga, guided hikes and much more. From host to "guest whisperer" – this is the philosophy of the Neudegger family together with their employees. It can happen that the guest whisperers already feel a wish, although it has not yet been expressed by the guest.

Exclusive and personal moments of pleasure also await in the restaurants with local products & passionate preparation. Meat products are sourced from the in-house butchery "Großarler Genuss" and wherever possible, products are purchased from the farmers and suppliers around the corner. The perfect place to get away from it all – sometimes the journey doesn't have to be far to be quite far away!

Die Geschichte von Schloss Höch geht in das 11. Jahrhundert zurück. Die heutige Hufeisenform und reiche Ausstattung eines sogenannten "Salzburger Ansitzes" hat das Schloss aber erst im 17. Jahrundert erhalten. In den 800 Jahren seiner Besitzgeschichte war Schloss Höch im wesentlichen im Eigentum von nur vier Familien, die auch landesgeschichtlich von Bedeutung waren und von denen die letzten drei, die Kölderer, die Jocher und die Plaz verwandt waren und über viele Jahrhunderte eine kontinuierliche Besitzabfolge bildeten. Erst mit dem Verkauf an Alois Rohrmooser und später mit der Übernahme durch die Gemeinde Flachau kam es zu einem Bruch dieser Kontinuität der Dynastien.

The Starchen Stadl is a place of encounter. A forge of friendship. For you, we really put our backs into it. Our delicious food and beverages come mostly from our own agriculture and hunting. The variety of schnapps is distilled by the senior chef with great skill and in the highest quality. The farmer bread kneads the senior boss with great passion on the farm itself. It is thanks to the creativity of Sepp, the landlord, that the barn with its unmistakable flair shines in new splendor. All carpentry work on the building as well as the loving details in the hut he has realized himself.

The good soul of the house is Kati: she keeps everything and everyone together - because she builds and maintains friendships, personally greets guests and remembers who likes what best. Josef Junior provides the musical highlight with his unusual talent: he plays the accordion while riding the hoverboard. His little brother Johannes accompanies him on the trumpet.

Why are we doing all this?
Because we want you to feel at home with us and have a really good time here. And because tradition, cordiality and hospitality are close to our hearts. We are completely honest about that. And you will feel that: when partying in the après-ski area as well as when relaxing in the champagne lounge or feasting on the roof terrace. Wine tasting with the Skoff winery

The ice-arena at Bad Hofgastein offers three skating rinks, the equipement could be borrowed at the ice-arena.

Whether winter hiking or tobogganing – hearty moments are guaranteed on the Galsterberg. The approx. 1.5 km long winter hiking trail starts at the mountain station and leads to one of the two heart points. The second heart point can be found along the 5 km long natural toboggan run. A winter magic on two runners invites you to an adventurous toboggan run both during the day and at night.

In St. Johann in Salzburg there are two well-groomed trails at your disposal.

• Plankenau Loipe: 6.2 kms (intermediate)
• Alpendorf Loipe: 4 kms (intermediate)

You can find a third cross country trail on the mountain, directly situated next to the top station of the Alpendorf gondola (2,2 km - intermediate)
