The 72nd Tour of Austria will take place again after a two-year break from July 2nd to 6th, 2022. Austria's cycling association ÖRV formed a new organizational team. And the ORF will also report on the restart of the tour in a tradition that has been going on for decades.
In order to put the Tour of Austria NEW on a secure economic basis from the first kilometer onwards, Austria's cycling association ÖRV has formed a new organizational team. First and foremost with tour director Werner Kuhn, once a cyclist himself, a tour participant and later a successful manager of SK Rapid Vienna, and OC boss Christoph Ziermann, also a well-known former top cyclist.
1st stage, July 2, 2022: Bad Tatzmannsdorf – Wolfsberg, 168 km
2nd stage, July 3, 2022: Seeboden – Großglockner – St. Johann in Salzburg, 167 km
3rd Stage, July 4, 2022: St. Johann in Salzburg – Bad Ischl, 105 km
4th stage, July 5, 2022: Bad Schallerbach – Sonntagberg, 156 km, start at 11:00 a.m
5th Stage, July 6, 2022: Marchegg – Vienna, 110 km
