The peak of pleasure at the highest farmer's market in the Alps
The alpine world has never seen anything like this: gourmets can ski from hut to hut and try the wonderful local delicacies. At about 30 ski huts you can discover, taste and of course buy some strong cheese, country bacon, salami, farmhouse bread and many other treats. The highest farmer's market in the Alps really lives up to its name, with market stands, for example, on the Dachstein glacier or in the Panoramic Dome in Sportgastein at 2,700 meters above sea level! A real highlight of the ski and wine gourmet week from the 16th to the 23rd of March 2019.
Where the farmer delivers directly to the highest market for skiers
After two successful seasons, the highest farmer’s market in the Alps has been extended for the 2018/19 winter season. Local farmers sell their own products from the market stands at the mountain huts. This initiative is justifiably
called the “highest farmer’s market in the Alps,“ with the highest market stands being at 2,700 metres above sea level, these being on the Dachstein glacier and at the Panoramic dome in Sportgastein. This season, the farmer’s market will run for a whole week. The market stands in Ski amadé are open from the 16th to the 23th of March.

At the stalls (or stall) at the lodges the wide range of traditional, homeproduced products will be on offer: various kinds of cheese, farmhouse bacon, venison salami, alpine herb teas, homemade bilberry jam, brandies and much more.
The market visitor on skis can also even have a tasting at some stalls: Plattlkrapfen with sauerkraut, perhaps, or real Pinzgauer Kasnocken.
