At 29 ski huts you can discover, taste and of course buy some strong cheese, country bacon, salami, farmhouse bread and many other treats. The highest farmer's market in the Alps really lives up to its name, with market stands, for example, on the Dachstein glacier or in the Panoramic Dome in Sportgastein at 2,700 meters above sea level! From the 14th to the 21st of March 2020 in Austria’s largest ski region, the ski and wine gourmet week takes place and in conjunction with this, the highest farmer’s market in the Alps. Do you prefer nothing better than to amble from stall to stall at the weekly market? Then do not miss out on this special experience and the absolute highlight of this week! Here, it is more about skiing from stall to stall, rather than ambling – the delicacies on offer taste all the better after a bit of sport beforehand!
Farmer’s market with homemade treasures, as far as the eye can see
Tasty bacon and cheese, fruity jams, jellies and juices, home-made liqueurs and schnapps, fresh donuts and dumplings.....that really makes the mouth water, don‘t you find? And that is by far not everything which is on offer at the farmer’s market huts. Hand sewn quilts and cushions, warm insoles and socks, small pieces of woodwork, creams, ointments and oils. Be impressed by the variety and diversity of the homemade things which are on offer!
