Im Troadkastn“, dem neuen Bauernladen in Großarl locken unzählige heimische Schmankerl, vom typischen Sauerkäse über selbst geräucherten Speck bis hin zum süßen Almrosenblüten-Honig (geöffnet Di, Mi, Fr, Sa). Direkt gegenüber befindet sich das Atelier Astei mit traditioneller, überwiegend aber zeitgenössisch moderner Schnitzkunst. Für Anhänger zeitlos schöner Trachtenmode findet sich unweit das 2018 neu eröffnete Geschäft von „Almsommer Trachtenmode“.

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! The Flowtrail Hochkönig leads from the Bürglalm, below the reservoir, along a dirt road to the edge of the forest. From there starts an action-packed trail for the whole family - whether mountain biker or eBiker - the Flowtrail Hochkönig is suitable for every type of biker.
Through the idyllic landscape with a view of the Hochkönig, you feel pure adrenaline!

All rental bikes are checked and tested. For e-bike beginners we offer riding safety training with tips and tricks for the ideal cycling pleasure. The Restaurant “Zum Holzwurm” was opened in 1988 by Brunhilde and Willi Gappmaier and is a culinary fixture in the region around Flachau. In summer our cosy terrace entices guests to dine, celebrate and enjoy each other’s company. There’s a great children’s playground in front of our restaurant in Flachau. In winter skiers pop in for breakfast – as the restaurant is situated right on the slopes of the Snow Space Salzburg in Ski amadé.
