Schlossalm – Angertal – Stubnerkogel

The Schlossalm – Angertal – Stubnerkogel ski area is actually the biggest contiguous ski region in Gastein Valley, straddling elevations between 860 and 2,300 m above sea level. The numerous pistes dropping more than 1,000 vertical meters promise variety-packed skiing and snowboarding enjoyment – perfectly networked by means of modern gondolas and ski lifts.

Schlossalm – the family & adventure mountain

Fun slope and family park

Family skiing fun is guaranteed at the Schlossalm.
The 650-metre long Funslope is a great highlight for the whole family. The fun course offers lots of fun with many kickers, butter boxes and a tunnel.
There is also action and fun on the snow elements and kickers in the Familypark Gastein, ideal for beginners.

Skimovie tracks

Action-packed it continues on the Skimovie race tracks. Fancy a race through the parallel giant slalom course on the Schlossalm with video recording? Or measure your best time on the giant slalom course on the Stubnerkogel and then download and share the video.

The North Downhill

For experienced skiers looking for a challenge, the Hohe Scharte North run is just the thing. It is one of the longest downhill runs in Salzburg and overcomes more than 1000 metres in altitude. The Hohe Scharte Nord is therefore a special skiing pleasure.

Freeriding on the Schlossalm

Freeriders who are looking for off-piste variations will not miss out on the Schlossalm. In addition to the numerous freeride slopes, there is an official, avalanche-protected ski route starting at the Kaserebenbahn mountain station. A freeride info base is located in front of the entrance to the Katstall ski route.

The Gasti Snow Park, which is located in the Angertal ski centre near Bad Hofgastein, is ideal for skiing beginners and children. Here, beginners playfully learn how to handle the skis in the ski school, so that after a short time they can already enjoy varied descents on the slopes.
The mascot "Gasti" is there to provide a great atmosphere.

Offer and training elements

  • Ski school on site
  • Judau drag lift for practice
  • Numerous conveyor belts
  • Kids Skimovie course

The Schlossalm and the Stubnerkogel are connected by the Angertal Ski Centre and thus form the hub between the two mountains.

Stubnerkogel - panoramic mountain and adventure

The Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein not only promises a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of the surrounding mountain landscape, but also offers pure fun on the slopes for skiers and snowboarders.

Viewpoints

A special highlight is the spectacular 140-metre-long suspension bridge that towers over a 28-metre-high precipice. The suspension bridge not only guarantees a thrill or soft knees, but also offers a dreamlike view.

The Glocknerblick viewing platform is located in the immediate vicinity of the Stubnerkogelbahn mountain station. As the name suggests, you have a wonderful panorama with a view of the Großglockner (3,798 m) in summer as well as in winter.

Another special feature on the Stubnerkogel is the rock path south of the mountain station, which leads through steeper craggy rock areas to a striking vantage point at the same altitude. The view along the path is breathtaking and incomparable and is a must on a ski day.

Another "point of view" is the Talblick viewing platform, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view northwards over Bad Hofgastein. The viewing platform with the wide seating steps along the stairs invite you to rest and linger in summer and winter.

On the Stubnerkogel there are fantastic slopes and challenging runs for sporty skiers and snowboarders, but also runs for more leisurely turns. The perfectly groomed slopes leave nothing to be desired. The Bucheben downhill run of the annual FIS Snowboard World Cup is located next to the Stubnerkogel valley station and is well worth a visit.

Snowpark Gastein

For freeskiers and freestylers there is a hotspot on the Stubnerkogel. The Snowpark Gastein has a lot to offer with its varied and perfectly shaped set-up with over 30 ostacles. With its own drag lift right next to the snow park, many action-packed rounds are guaranteed. The snow park is easy to reach from the Angertal Ski Centre and the Stubnerkogel.

Via the webcam snowpark and the weather you are always live and never miss a re-shape.
