Alongside the stunning natural scenery of the Hochkönig region, the participating huts delight guests with their regional fare. Accompanied by the hearty sounds of folk music groups, guests hike, cycle or take the lifts from alpine hut to alpine hut. Along the trails, there is music and dancing, and in some places alphorn and traditional horn players entertain the hikers and cyclists.
Once they arrive at the alpine pastures, guests are treated to authentic hut fare. Culinary-wise, the Hochkönig Roas is all about traditional dishes that have almost fallen into oblivion. Each participating hut offers one such dish to its guests.
