Trail running in the Lichtenstein gorge

St. Johann is famous for the Liechtenstein Gorge, which has been open to the public for 150 years. It stretches for 4 km (1 km of which is accessible on foot) and features gorges up to 300 metres deep. Perfect for a trail run. We want to kick off the season with an event for everyone, under the motto ‘Experience over results’. Trail running in the largest and most impressive gorge in the Alps.

From 2.00 pm, all participants will walk through the gorge to the waterfall at the end (1 km with 100 metres of elevation gain and 440 steps). You’ll have 1 hour to experience the gorge and capture some memories.

At 3.00 pm, the starting gun will be fired for the 2nd Liechtensteinklamm Trail. The field will run through the gorge via the Helix, built in 2020, in a neutralised section. We will then reach the exit of the gorge together, and the race will be released from the car park. The route continues for 6 km and 300 metres of elevation gain on the road and around the most beautiful trails of the Liechtenstein Gorge. In total, the course covers 7 km and 350 metres of elevation gain, including 440 steps.

Please note: During the event, the gorge will be closed to visitors from approximately 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm!

Due to the conditions in the gorge, a maximum of 100 participants may take part.
