The Harley-Davidson Charity Fund e.V. is a non-profit organisation that has been operating in Austria since 1996.
In keeping with the motto: “LOUD FOR THE SILENT – STRONG FOR THE WEAK”, hundreds of Harley riders take part in the charity tour through Austria every year, raising funds for children with muscular disorders.
Muscular disorders are among the most common ‘rare diseases’ affecting children in Austria and are particularly tragic due to their effects. Genetic defects lead to a progressive loss of muscle tissue and, consequently, to immobility in those affected. At the same time, those affected show no mental impairments whatsoever, meaning the demands of everyday life are enormously high. The complex, costly and lengthy treatments often push affected families to their financial and emotional limits.
Helping those affected and thereby showing solidarity is the main mission of the Austrian Harley-Davidson® Charity Fund. In this way, the Harley riders demonstrate that they are about more than just cruising around on their bikes.
Programme:
- Start of the event: 3.00 pm
- Live music with Alex Marath from 6.00 pm to 10.15 pm
- Arrival of the Harleys between approximately 6.30 pm and 7.00 pm
