Together in the middle of it all. You can hardly feel more free than skiing and snowboarding on the Hochkönig. 120 km of slopes are waiting for you. These include runs with ideal conditions and natural deep snow slopes. Modern cable cars bring you up all day and of course a stop at the tom Almhütte is a must.

The Jagahütte is located directly on the exit of the slope No. 5 Hochbrand at the confluence of the slope Himmelreich No. 10 at 1600 m. The cozy dining room with a great ambience invites you to linger. The sunny terrace is a perfect place for ski tourers an skiers as well. The Jagahütte also offers overnight acccommodation for up to 12 people. 

AN ADVENTURE WITH SAFETY – FREERIDE INFO POINT

Freeriding takes place away from the slopes and comes with its own natural dangers. You have to take into consideration such things as avalanche alert levels, exposure, slope gradient, snow cover, and emergency equipment. In classic ski areas, information for freeriders is in short supply. Not so in the Hochkönig ski region.

Find out about the most popular freeride routes on the mountain and the up-to-date avalanche risk at the freeride info point at the summit station of the Aberg gondola. With the help of the built-in avalanche beacon checker, you can make sure that your avalanche transceiver is working. Safety is thus guaranteed while you are out and about.

Spezialisierung: Der Berggasthof Sattelbauer, einer der schönsten Berggasthöfe im Salzburgerland auf 1300 Metern Höhe inmitten von Wald und Wiesen, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die hausgemachte Sulze, das Wiener Schnitzel aus der Pfanne, der deftige Bauernschmaus, die wunderbaren Schweinemedaillons oder Wildspezialitäten sind nur einige unserer Spezialitäten. Zum süßen Abschluss laden die warme Mohntorte, Strudeln und Eis-Desserts ein. Wir sind sowohl für große Feiern als auch für Busse gerüstet. The 2.5-kilometre long natural toboggan run is ideally maintained. Night owls will also be able to have their fun – with the toboggan run and walking route lit in the evening!
