Enjoyment means something different for everyone. Some love to relax on vacation, to eat well and to unwind. The others relax actively while skiing, biking or hiking. Our pleasure hotel is located in the heart of Altenmarkt, near Zauchensee, and is the ideal starting point for all these activities. With us you can be who you are. The only important thing is that you enjoy your vacation. If we can do that, we will have achieved our goal.

Our large garden is located in the center of Altenmarkt and is set up like a park. Our area comprises 3 houses: a wellness house, our country house, the main house with restaurant and a rustic alpine hut in the center.

Located directly on the ski slopes you can start your holiday with us before anyone else to skiing and enjoy afterwards convivial Après ski. In summer, the scenic hiking area of the Salzburg mountains is right at your feet.

Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week  from 14th to 21st March, 2026

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Schüttalm some special highlights. 

The idea behind Skischule Gastein is, due to the unique combination of state certified ski-, snowboard- and mountainguides, to bring the offer in the Gastein valley to the highest quality level.    

The top address for all winter-sport enthusiasts! Wheter snowboarders, skiers, mountaineers or ice climbers, everybody finds what they are searching for! Our ambitious and best qualified team looks forward to meeting you!

Ski rental and sportswear

The hut is located directly at the middle station. Good food and drink, home cooking, rustic interior panorama and beautiful terrace.

There is a new panorama platform to discover on the Schlossalm. The platform offers visitors a great view over the entire Schlossalm area. The Schlossalm view rises above the rocks, which is why it creates the feeling of floating. In the bottom of the viewing platform there is a transparent grid, which allows a sensational view into the depths. On the platform there is a bench to rest, have a snack or just enjoy the view.

Speed skiing

Numerous cleared service roads and forest roads with very little traffic, ideal for walking and sledding.

Delicious culinary delights with a magnificent view on the Kaiblingalm ski trail

d'Genussalm is located directly on the ‘Kaiblingalm-Skiweg 6A’ piste - the connecting piste to the most wonderful runs on Hauser Kaibling. d'Genussalm is one of the AlmSkihütten and is one of a total of 16 huts on Hauser Kaibling.

In a comfortably modern hut ambience incl. sun terrace with a fantastic view of the Dachstein massif, connoisseurs get their money's worth with Kaiserschmarren and hot chocolate. You don't want to leave there? Then on top of that you can secure one of the new apartments, in rustic cozy style and equipped with all amenities.
