A true paradise for children and families
The Gallic ski village is located on flat ground and is completely accessible with skis. So even beginners can discover it in a playful way. There are a lot of attractions waiting for the little ones, such as wild boar hunting in the “Little Gallier Park”, the 85 m long magic carpet or talking Gallic figures, Gallic wooden huts and huge snow figures. Especially the new wooden music skidoo, on which the little skiers can do a few runs, is a hit. There's also a Gallic snow groomer with real noises waiting for you. The Roman Watchtower in the “Galstiland” not only offers a great overview of the Gallic ski slopes, but also includes a play paradise with an indoor playing area.
With our 3 "Gallic Funruns" fun is guaranteed for everyone – from the sporty grandparents to the little ones. The "Little Gallier Park", "Bottelix Hinkelsteinbruch" and "Römerstraße VII" are full of highlights and surprises. Our Gallic friends are already waiting for you. Spirited, fast and curvy – this is how the five-kilometre-long toboggan run on the Galsterberg presents itself.
Tip: The toboggan run is also open at night and offers a particularly romantic atmosphere. It is brightly lighted in several places and therefore a colourful experience for toboggan enthusiasts of all ages. Toboggans can of course be rented on site.
Connoisseurs can be enchanted by the winter hiking trail. It is easy to walk on and offers a breathtaking view of the beautiful Ennstal valley. You will also learn a lot about animals that live in the nearby forest.
Tip: The trail is also ideal for snowshoe hikers!
Ski tours on Galsterberg
The Galsterberg is also a popular area for ski tourers. Especially for this purpose we have improved the ascent track, the guidance system and signage and created parking spaces just for ski tourers. A special feature of the Galsterberg for ski tourers is the collection of touring needles. What does this mean? With the SummitLynx smartphone app, all ski tourers can collect digital tour needles with their GPS-enabled mobile phone by logging in at two checkpoints. After this has been successfully done, the tourer receives a touring needle with which he can win great prizes in a raffle at the end of the winter season.
Tip: The more touring needles you collect, the better your chances of winning are!
