A warm welcome at the huts & inns

A sublimely beautiful view lies in store for walkers and nature lovers at Ski amadé

Delight in the summer mountain huts and their natural and authentic delicacies.

Just imagine:

A lush alpine meadow, a quaint mountain hut, a warm "Griaß di" (hello) from the local innkeeper, a delicious Brettljause (ploughman's lunch), a small schnapps digestif, an unforgettable sunset over the beautiful mountain panorama, a cosy bed and a relaxing sleep full of dreams about the perfect day of walking.

During the alpine summer in Ski amadé, you can hike or bike from hut to hut – literally. Because at every stop, the hosts will spoil you with traditional culinary delights. Some huts are particularly family-friendly, others are located in high-alpine terrain, so there’s the perfect location for a break no matter which type of holiday guest you are.

Enjoy hiking from hut to hut

Good to know: Many of the huts are open from June to late autumn.

These highlights are not to be missed

For cheese connoisseurs
You simply have to try Steirerkas (Styrian cheese) on your travels. There are lots of rumours about how this traditional alpine product from the Schladming-Dachstein region is made. The pungent smelling grey cheese is served on bread and butter, in Steirerkrapfen doughnuts or as Kasnocken (cheese noodles).

For day trips
So everyone can come and enjoy our home-made delicacies, our summer lifts also bring day trippers up the mountain. The Gastein Valley is an ideal starting point, for example, for hikes of all types. Many of the alpine pastures are particularly child-friendly and easy to access using the Gastein mountain lifts.

For those seeking tranquillity
The alpine summer in the Salzburger Sportwelt smells like home-baked farmer's doughnuts (Bauernkrapfen), sounds like authentic folk music and feels like pure relaxation. There are 19 licensed summer mountain huts in the region and 15 further huts provide accommodation.

For walkers
In the Grossarltal, the Valley of the Alms, enjoy the rustic charm of 40 cosy mountain huts, the smell of flowering mountain meadows, the purity of crystal-clear mountain lakes and the breath-taking panorama in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Walk from hut to hut with your loved ones and find true relaxation.
