At our Gasthof Mühlbauernstube in Saalfelden, it's not just a love of cookery that takes top priority, the use of high-quality ingredients is also important. They must be fresh and as far as possible from the region. In the cosy parlour you can feast with joy and pleasure or enjoy the warming winter sun on our wonderful sun terrace. Skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and winter hikers - but of course all non-sports enthusiasts and connoisseurs are also welcome here at any time.

Only about 200 metres away from the hotel is the entrance point to our family ski area in Filzmoos, which is also part of Austria's largest ski association, Ski amadé. The skiing area is an absolute insider tip for connoisseurs and the snow-hungry. Local produce is a priority for us. Basically, our aim is to process as many products as possible from local animals, local farmers and sustainable agriculture. The ownes of the Wastlalm are always endeavour to serve their guests seasonal freshly cooked dishes.
They are popular for their various and broad selection of dumplings, "Bauernkrapfen" and the well-known Kaiserschmarrn.

The mountain station of the 8-seater Rosskopfbahn cable car at 1,930 metres is a popular meeting point in the ski area and an ideal vantage point with great photo opportunities. Our mascot ‘Zauchi’ is looking forward to a photo with you. You can immortalise yourselves with a ‘love lock’ at the ‘love heart’. The Rosskopf is one of the three Zauchensee peaks of the challenging ‘12 Peaks Trophy’.

A comfortable rest belongs to skiing, ideal at the Kröllalm. Whether in the office at the tiled stove or on the beautiful sun terrace with stunning views over the Saalfelden basin, you will feel at home. We serve specialties from our own farm, as well as mushrooms from the local forests. Also apple and cheese strudel are homemade.
