The Kessleralm is the only hut right in the heart of the Planai (valley station Lärchkogel middle station cable car), all large slopes lead to the hut, it is therefore ideal as a meeting point. Ab der Bergstation der Dachstein-Gletscherbahnen gibt es ein Angebot von Ski-Übergängen und Steilabfahrten das weltweit seinesgleichen sucht. Zahlreiche Talorte rund um den Dachstein können von hier per Ski erreicht werden.Tourenabfahrten führen nach Hallstatt, Obertraun, Ramsau, Gosau, Gröbming oder Filzmoos. Die Höhenunterschiede betragen bis zu 2000 m, die Streckenlängen bis zu 30 Kilometern! Gemeinsam mit den teils extremen Steilabfahrten gibt es 16 Tourenabfahrten die an der Bergstation der Dachstein-Gletscherbahnen ihren Ausgangspunkt haben.
