Around 60 kms of perfectly groomed trails await you in Rohrmoos and in the especially delightful Tauern valleys, Ober and Untertal. Skating stretch directly on the plateau.

At our Gasthof Mühlbauernstube in Saalfelden, it's not just a love of cookery that takes top priority, the use of high-quality ingredients is also important. They must be fresh and as far as possible from the region. In the cosy parlour you can feast with joy and pleasure or enjoy the warming winter sun on our wonderful sun terrace. Skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers and winter hikers - but of course all non-sports enthusiasts and connoisseurs are also welcome here at any time.

What could be nicer than stopping in a rustic hut after a great day of skiing or a ski tour and being pampered there? The Tiergarten Alm is at 1540 meters and there is not only the most delicious Kaiserschmarren and enjoyment with our specialties, but also the most wonderful panorama and the most magnificent view!

By the way, this is also where it's funniest – whether summer or winter, we regularly organize events on the alpine pastures for lots of fun. Don't you believe us?

Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week from 14th to 21st March, 2026

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Tiergartenalm some special highlights. 

Der Planaihof liegt auf 1.800 m, am Ende der Planaistraße, direkt neben Onkel Willy‘s Hütte, am Sammelplatz der Skischule Planai, und rund 250 m westlich der Bergstation an der Piste 7a (Planaihof- Märchenwiese). Wir bieten unseren Gästen auch im Skiurlaub ruhige und gediegene Atmosphäre mit unserem Bergrestaurant und eine der schönsten Panoramaterrassen der Region. Ein echter Geheimtipp von Einheimischen und Stammgästen! Kulinarisch verwöhnen wir Dich mit unserer gut-bürgerlichen Küche und steirischen Spezialitäten wie unserem steirischen Mostbrat‘l und Schwarzbeerstrudel. The home of great cross-country skiers Walter Mayer and Alois Stadlober provides 200 kms of perfectly groomed loipes within the Alliance - for skaters and classic.

The zipline on the Stoderzinken is the largest of its kind in Europe. The new zipline flies from 1,600 metres above sea level to the Gröbming Adventure Park at 900 metres. The principle of a ZipLine is simple: you and your friends glide down from the mountain into the valley on 4 parallel wire ropes without any intermediate supports. On the Stoderzinken, you can reach speeds of up to 115 km/h while flying over the treetops. This is a real test of courage, especially for adults.

...have their outstanding charme in it's special location. The Herzwies is located directly at the ski slope in 100 metres above the ski centre "Angertal" – the starting point of two  cable cars and one chair lift.
