During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Sternalm some special highlights. 

The home of great cross-country skiers Walter Mayer and Alois Stadlober provides 200 kms of perfectly groomed loipes within the Alliance - for skaters and classic.

Romantic sleigh ride in winter

Wrapped in warm blankets, the clear, cold winter air on the cheeks, the steaming Gut Weissenhof horses in front of you, in the middle of a snow-covered Salzburg winter landscape seemingly effortless glide through the snow - a sleigh ride with our two German heavy warmblood horses,
Skipper and Penelope, and our coachman Sepp is like a trip into a winter wonderland.

We are "the" meeting place for locals and visitors! Visit us in Gastein on the Stubnerkogel in our rustic ski lodge Young parlor. Enjoy the great panoramic view of the sun terrace and let yourself be pampered by our service team, with delicacies from our cuisine and fine wines from Austria.

The Hotel Pariente is located directly on the piste in the Hochwurzen ski area and is therefore the ideal stopover for skiers to rest and recharge their batteries in our restaurant with sun terrace. The highlight at the end of a ski tour on the Hochwurzen. At the small Hochwurzen summit, you can enjoy your summit victory in peace, including the view of the Dachstein, the Enns Valley and the Schladminger Tauern. The perfect photo spot for all summit strikers. For refreshments afterwards, the small Hochwurzen hut is also close by.

An impressive 360° panorama with phenomenal views in all directions awaits you at the mountain station of the Tauernkarbahn cable car at 1,890 metres. Our mascot ‘Zauchi’ is looking forward to being photographed with you. The Tauernkar is the easternmost peak of the ‘12 Peaks Trophy’ between Alpendorf in Snow Space Salzburg and the Zauchensee ski paradise.

The Landgasthof Bertahof in Bad Hofgastein has been located amidst the old trees and in the heart of the Gastein Valley for over 350 years. This family-run and cozy restaurant has an extraordinary reputation! Enjoy and feel good: that is the maxim for Bertahof guests.

The Bertahof is listed in Gault Millau and has received the award "very good cuisine that offers more than the everyday" since 2009.

Above all, the lamb, mostly from our own breeding, or the fresh fish from our own pond, make a visit to the Bertahof a culinary experience. Chef Robert Granitzer only uses fresh, seasonal products from the region.

The culinary offer ranges from creatively prepared regional specialties to Mediterranean delicacies and international classics.

The Bertahof has been awarded the AMA gastro seal for the use of products from surrounding regions and from Austria.

You can rent e-bikes and mountainbikes, from 20 "children's bicycles to hardtails (only suspension fork), fullys (fully suspended) and hardtails with a low step-through. Of course, it is also possible to rent a trailer from Thule (Chariot) with it nothing stands in the way of a family trip with the little ones.

Visit the mountain bike skills area in Kleinarl directly at our location with a new pump track and riding technique exercises for all skill levels. Here you can learn the necessary technique in a playful way to ride the trails safely.

From December 2023, Wolke 7 will be located at the new mountain station of the Kieserlbahn cable car in Grossarl. It will be heavenly, fluffy and very special here. With freshly cooked dishes, great wines, the best cocktails and candy floss. Sugar what? Yes, exactly – what else?
