Spezialisierung: Der Berggasthof Sattelbauer, einer der schönsten Berggasthöfe im Salzburgerland auf 1300 Metern Höhe inmitten von Wald und Wiesen, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der herrliche Ausblick zum Griesenkar, dem mächtigen Dachstein-Massiv und der ehrfürchtigen Bischofsmütze lässt wohl jedes Wanderherz höher schlagen! Unser Lokal ist mit Holz aus einem 300 Jahre alten Bauernhaus ausgestattet. Unsere Stuben strahlen Gemütlichkeit, Behagen und herzliche Gastlichkeit aus. Die liebevollen Details erinnern an Tradition und Brauchtum. Unsere Küche ist herzhaft und bodenständig, die Produkte größtenteils aus eigener Landwirtschaft. Die hausgemachte Sulze, das Wiener Schnitzel aus der Pfanne, der deftige Bauernschmaus, die wunderbaren Schweinemedaillons oder Wildspezialitäten sind nur einige unserer Spezialitäten. Zum süßen Abschluss laden die warme Mohntorte, Strudeln und Eis-Desserts ein. Wir sind sowohl für große Feiern als auch für Busse gerüstet. Über die neu errichtete Straße von Flachau aus sind wir problemlos und einfach zu erreichen. Wir bitten um Vorreservierung! Our house is located quiet and in a sunny location
at the valley station of the 8 Königslehenbahn in Radstadt.
Also at the 6 km long toboggan run Königslehen and the Tauern cross-country trail. Ski school and ski rental directly in front of the house.

We are a family-run business, the needs of our guests is our priority. For us it is important that the guests come as a guest and leave as friends.

After an extensive hike or an eventful day on the ski slopes, Austrian delicacies await you on our sun terrace or in the cozy parlors. During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Waldgasthof some special highlights. 

There are 2 shops of Sport Wielandner:

• one is situated in Alpendorf (only open during winter months)
• one is situated in the city centre of Sankt Johann

Sport Wielandner is a family run specilist shop which offers premium quality products for many sports like skiing, snowboarding, running, tennis etc.

We also offer ski rental (skis, boots, helmets, snowboards etc.)

Savour the fine wines of Austrian winegrowers and the delicious cuisine of the local gastronomy. A special programme highlight takes place on Wednesday with the Weinroas – here you can taste fine wines from selected top winegrowers in the various hotels. A wonderful evening with musical entertainment, delicious delicacies and good wine.

Flying in the beautiful Grossarl Valley

Paragliding is by no means limited to the warm seasons. Especially in winter there are flights in the Grossarl-Dorfgastein ski area where you can glide down the valley with us on snow-covered ski slopes. The cable car takes us directly to the starting point.
