Mit dem Postbus, Skibus oder Auto geht es bis nach Hüttschlag und weiter in den malerischen Talschluss. Ruhe und Stille bestimmen hier am Eingang zum Nationalpark Hohe Tauern das Tempo. Am gemütlichsten geht´s mit der Pferdekutsche weiter (Anmeldung erforderlich) oder man spaziert zu Fuß die 2 km durch die tief verschneite Winterlandschaft vorbei an einem Wildgehege bis hin zum Ötzlsee. Zurück zum Parkplatz am selben Weg.

Naturrodelbahn mit einer Länge von 3 km mit Ende direkt in Flachau!

Spezialisierung: Der Berggasthof Sattelbauer, einer der schönsten Berggasthöfe im Salzburgerland auf 1300 Metern Höhe inmitten von Wald und Wiesen, lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der herrliche Ausblick zum Griesenkar, dem mächtigen Dachstein-Massiv und der ehrfürchtigen Bischofsmütze lässt wohl jedes Wanderherz höher schlagen! Unser Lokal ist mit Holz aus einem 300 Jahre alten Bauernhaus ausgestattet. Unsere Stuben strahlen Gemütlichkeit, Behagen und herzliche Gastlichkeit aus. Die liebevollen Details erinnern an Tradition und Brauchtum. Unsere Küche ist herzhaft und bodenständig, die Produkte größtenteils aus eigener Landwirtschaft. Die hausgemachte Sulze, das Wiener Schnitzel aus der Pfanne, der deftige Bauernschmaus, die wunderbaren Schweinemedaillons oder Wildspezialitäten sind nur einige unserer Spezialitäten. Zum süßen Abschluss laden die warme Mohntorte, Strudeln und Eis-Desserts ein. Wir sind sowohl für große Feiern als auch für Busse gerüstet. Über die neu errichtete Straße von Flachau aus sind wir problemlos und einfach zu erreichen. Wir bitten um Vorreservierung! Once you reach the mountain station at an altitude of 1,600 metres, you are treated to a magnificent view of the majestic Bischofsmütze, a true landmark of the region. Invigorated by the power emanating from the queen of the Salzburg summit game, you can now enjoy the perfectly groomed slopes of filzmoos.ski to the full. Surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, the pistes not only offer sporting pleasure, but also unique relaxation for body and soul and culinary delights in the cosy ski huts. Filzmoos combines skiing fun with unforgettable panoramic experiences - a place where you can feel the power of the mountains and experience alpine adventure in its most beautiful form.

Mit guter Stimmung und Produkten aus der eigenen Landwirtschaft lockt der Zirbenwirt ins Tal. Aber Achtung, wer gewagt hat eine der erst beschriebenen Leckerei auszulassen, bekommt keinen Burger vom eigenen Angus oder Kalliste Rind! Kleiner Scherz, natürlich steht dieses Highlight allen zu. 

At the Rauchkopfhütte our guests can enjoy a range of traditional Austrian and international home-made dishes served in a cosy alpine environment, boasting with character. The atmosphere is enhanced by wonderful views of the mountains from all corners, rustic interiors, occasional live music and winter sports on television. We take pride in our food and service, and do our best to ensure that our guests have a nice and comfortable stay.

Rauchkopfhütte offers inside tables, a bar, a wintergarden and three other outdoor terraces where our guests can eat, drink, relax, socialise and enjoy the sun shine with magnificent views. Our indoor restaurant and wintergarden have captured the traditional Austrian alpine atmosphere. They have tables which are protected from the wind and the cold, whereas the wintergarden has a hydraulic glass roof which opens up to convert it into an additional outside space, ideal when it is sunny but maybe a bit windy. The outdoor terraces have tables, comfortable sun beds and beach chairs which can be used for drinking and relaxing in the sun.

Our wintergarden is dedicated to non-smokers, but smoking is allowed at the bar. Rauchkopfhütte is also ideal for non-skiers who want to enjoy the food, panorama and sun shine, within easy reach from the ski-lift.

The Alpentherme Bad Hofgastein offers fun and relaxing for the whole family. Various thematic areas offers also wellness, beauty, rehabilation and sports.
