The Zapfenhütte is located at 1320 m above sea level directly at the mountain station of the 8-seater Hochbrand cable car. The cozy parlor with an open fireplace and the sun terrace invite you to take a break.

In the heart of Kings Park, a unique viewing platform opens up – with majestic views and photo opportunities that show the ski resort at its most impressive.

You will find an unrivalled panoramic view at the Grießenkar photo point. Coming from Wagrain via the Flying Mozart and from Flachau via Starjet 3, you are on the one hand, at a pivotal point in the ski area, and on the other hand in a very significant place: A monument in the form of a summit cross is located in the immediate vicinity.

The Lärchkogel lift on the Planai takes you high up. The panorama deck on the roof of the mountain station invites you to enjoy the view. In addition to the fantastic view of the Dachstein massif, you will also find a Skiline Live-Photopoint here. Here you can take a photo with your ski pass and then call it up online.

Lively, fast and winding - this is how the 5 km long natural toboggan run on the Galsterberg presents itself. Winter magic on two runners invites you to go tobogganing both during the day and in the evening.

During the day, there are special family discounts for single rides on the gondola and for fun laps, clubs or an evening company outing, there is the all-inclusive tobogganing package which is only valid in the evening.

Ergänzt wird das Sportangebot durch eine Höhenloipe am Dachsteingletscher und dem Vorzeige-Indoor-Trainingszentrum mit Kraftgeräten, Radergometern und Laufbändern von höchstem technischen Niveau, einem Kletterturm und einer Turnhalle. The Tischlerhütte ski hut is located on the Aberg directly on the piste in the middle of the Hochkönig region of the Schönangerbahn, with a fantastic view of the Steinernes Meer - simply a place to feel good! The favourable piste location guarantees skiing fun for beginners and advanced skiers. If you just want to leave your skis in the valley, it's a 10-minute walk across the slopes to the terrace, where you can enjoy the food and the sun! Hot and cold dishes in our rustic and stylish hut will warm your heart.

In winter, the mountains attract skiers and snowboarders. The Gastein ski region in the heart of Austria comprises 4 ski areas with a total of 220 kilometres of pistes. But cross-country skiers also love the Gastein Valley and enjoy the healthy Nordic endurance sport on the valley trail or the snow-sure high-altitude trail. Those who want to get to know the cold season from its gentler side will find the opportunity to do so on winter hikes. Tobogganing and romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides are also possible in the white landscape. Wherever you go: You will always be accompanied by the majestic natural scenery of the Gastein mountains around the Hotel Römerhof in Dorfgastein.
