From the Breitenebenalm car park, snowshoe uphill along the goods road or along the shortcuts through the forest to the Breitenebenalm (not open in winter). Shortly before the Breitenebenalm, you pass a game reserve. The trail continues partly through the forest and partly over snow fields to the Karseggalm (not open in winter). At the Karseggalm you can enjoy the marvellous winter landscape. Return along the same route.

Thinking outside the box and reinterpreting is our passion, and this is also evident in our cuisine.
It goes without saying that nothing stays the same at the ARX Hotel & Restaurant in Schladming-Rohrmoos. Our guests can look forward to being surprised time and again by innovative interpretations from our head chef Markus Kapeller.
Markus Kapeller enjoys working with seasonal and regional products. The ARX offers its guests a daily changing 3-course menu or ‘classics’ that are always on the menu. Dishes that combine authenticity and innovation. In other words: simplicity meets originality. Always new. Always fresh and seasonal. There is also a large selection of expressive wines and pure, unadulterated natural wines.
From the terrace, the view of the Steinerne Meer with the Hochkönig is a feast for the eyes. At only 950 m above sea level, we offer hikers and cyclists a snack, warm home cooking and home-made pastries in summer. In the winter, we offer hearty and regional mountain food for lunch and dinner. Parking available, directly at the hut.
Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week from 14th to 21st March, 2026
During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Wiesenstadl some special highlights.
March 8, 2026: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wine tasting at the Dachsl Winery
March 13, 2026: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wine tasting at the Joe Beyer Winery
The Fulseck, the ski mountain for the Dorfgastein - Grossarltal ski circuit, is so ideally situated that from the summit area you can see the highest mountains in the country from the Großglockner in the south-west to the Hochkönig in the north and the Hohe Dachstein in the north-east from one location. Right here, not far from the summit station of the Gipfelbahn - Fulseck cable car, we have built the ‘Dachsteinblick’ viewing platform on the foundations of the old T-bar lift. In this way, a magnificent panoramic hotspot has been realised with minimal intervention in nature. The best thing about it: the railing is made of shatterproof glass so that even the ski minis can admire the view.
Sensual cooking. Prepared with deep sensitivity.
For the region. And its roots. Traditional recipes. Coupled with openness and curiosity. For the exciting wider world. Epicurean. Cooking leads us back to our origins. It grounds us. Warms us. And satisfies. Infinite possibilities. Indulging in colours and forms that entice and beguile. Butter, cheese and eggs from the hill farm. Meat from the region. Flavourful bacon. Smoked by the owner personally. Trout from our own fishing pond. And the fabulous fragrance of freshly baked bread. In the unique style of our house. Always accompanied by: freshly plucked herbs from our herb garden.
All in all: An hommage. To the region. To tradition. And to life itself.
