The MONDI Bellevue Alm Gastein, directly opposite the „MONDI Schiefe Alm Gastein, is the ideal place to switch of and enjoy the moment. The MONDI Bellevue Alm Gastein will soon have you hooked – it ticks all the boxes!

Solely fresh local and regional produce is used for preparing the Austrian and international dishes; quite unlike the cuisine you would usually expect from an Alpine lodge eaterie. Aside from the classic Austrian rustic staples, such as spare ribs or beef filet the « Bellevue Alm » Fondue is top notch. Tempting, tasty snack dishes for in-between are also available. Classic kids‘ favourites ranging from fried pork escalope to „Berner“ sausages are on offer on the kids‘ menu. In a nutshell: good, plain cooking with served with some extra zing and at a reasonable price.

‘I have tasted all the wines and know almost every face of the winemaker,’ says Sieglinde. She hikes to the surrounding mountain pastures and visits her favourite places on the Hochkönig, tastes wines on the mountain, picks and gets to know herbs. During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Karbachalm some special highlights. 

Our team around head chef Lukas Cirjak conjures up new creations every day and our sommeliers serve them the right wines.

The ambience reflects the philosophy of our kitchen: The centuries-old walls have been given a new shine without losing their original charm.

Eating & drinking in the Johann
We always rely on the best quality of our products. It is therefore only logical to obtain the majority of our meat and dairy products from our own farm in the neighboring village of Pichl.

This commitment is again worth an award for Gault Millau in 2019. This year we even got a second hood with 14.5 points. Up to now, with 14 points, we had a constant 1 hood for 7 years.

The name of the region is written in capital letters on a wooden structure on the Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein. The approximately 3-metre-high lettering not only serves as an eye-catcher and photo opportunity, but also as a place to sit on the mountain. In addition to the magnificent view, you can also capture your mountain experience without taking a selfie.

Right in the middle of Salzburg's Grossarl Valley, the Hotel Tauernhof awaits you and with it also many experiences between nature enjoyment and relaxation.
