In St. Johann in Salzburg there are two well-groomed trails at your disposal.

• Plankenau Loipe: 6.2 kms (intermediate)
• Alpendorf Loipe: 4 kms (intermediate)

You can find a third cross country trail on the mountain, directly situated next to the top station of the Alpendorf gondola (2,2 km - intermediate)

The mountain restaurant Bodenalm is one of the ski lodges in Zauchensee/Flachauwinkl. Skiers make their stop-off here and non-skiers can travel comfortably with the Highliner I on the top. The Fichtel country on Hochbifang in Altenmarkt
On the Altenmarkt side of the Radstadt / Altenmarkt there on Hochbifang a unique forest with very special trees. In this forest grow namely spruces with extraordinary abilities! Every year in winter the spruce throw their Fichtenzapfen on the forest floor, and from some of these pins there are formed small creatures that exist only in this forest in Altenmarkt: the Fichtel!
