Because up here, 1000 meters above sea level, embedded in this unique mountain and hilly landscape, sin seems to have been born. Whereby: "There’s no sin on the mountain pasture" – and so we indulge in enjoyment and joie de vivre together and no longer ask about who did or what. Die Geschichte von Schloss Höch geht in das 11. Jahrhundert zurück. Die heutige Hufeisenform und reiche Ausstattung eines sogenannten "Salzburger Ansitzes" hat das Schloss aber erst im 17. Jahrundert erhalten. In den 800 Jahren seiner Besitzgeschichte war Schloss Höch im wesentlichen im Eigentum von nur vier Familien, die auch landesgeschichtlich von Bedeutung waren und von denen die letzten drei, die Kölderer, die Jocher und die Plaz verwandt waren und über viele Jahrhunderte eine kontinuierliche Besitzabfolge bildeten. Erst mit dem Verkauf an Alois Rohrmooser und später mit der Übernahme durch die Gemeinde Flachau kam es zu einem Bruch dieser Kontinuität der Dynastien.

Döllerer’s Wirtshaus has been a meeting place for everyone who sets great store by genuine, pristine taste for 100 years. For all ages, for guests from near and far. Andreas Döllerer focuses on the culinary diversity of the region at the Wirtshaus – and it goes down well. Spacious pool areas, numerous attractions for kids as well as a diverse sauna area make the adventure pool Wagrain-Kleinarl a great experience for the whole family.

Tobogganing is great fun for all ages.

The Kleinbergalm can be reached on foot from the centre of the village or on the Grossberg chairlift. The alpine hut and the toboggan run are very popular – in the evenings too.

The Loosbühelalm is also open in winter.

Enjoy a fantastic winter scenery at 1,769 m (away from the ski slopes). You can reach the Alm with tourn skis, snowshoes, on foot or with a taxi. The cozy parlors invite you to rest, where you will be spoiled with farm products. Toboggans are available for hire on the Loosbühelalm.

Our ski experts have been providing learning success and fun both on and off piste since 1954. 

Skiing and snowboarding courses for children or adults, on or off piste, and ski tours off the beaten track – Your perfect mountain partners.

What makes us a world champion ski school? In 2001 our ski school were  world champions in formation skiing; something we are still proud of today!
 

Our rental shop in Sportgastein is located directly in the valley station of the Goldbergbahn. In addition to skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing equipment, we also rent out snowshoes, avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes.

We also offer a small selection of gloves, skis and sunglasses in the shop.
