Welcome to okema – your new coffee stop at the Planai valley station!

Small, cozy, and brand new: okema is the perfect place to meet right at the base of Planai. Whether you're warming up before hitting the slopes or winding down after a great day in the snow – we’ve got top-quality coffee, freshly baked goods from Steffl Bäck, and a warm smile waiting for you.

Kick off your ski day with a rich espresso or treat yourself to a sweet break after your run. Our café may be small, but it's full of flavor – ideal for a quick pause with real taste.

The Naturfreunde-Schutzhaus Kaiblingalm lies at 1778 metres above sea level, in the midst of a nature jewel. The stone pine trees, the mountain pines, the small, hidden away lakes, and the bowls give our "Alm" its unique character. Here, in the Kaiblingalm area, you can simply sit back and unwind.

In winter, we try to pass on to our guests some of this piece and quiet by not turning on loud music in our dining rooms and on the terrace. Naturally we would like our visitors to enjoy good food and drink, that we prepare for you with care. Traditional, hearty local dishes will be a pleasurable culinary experience. To prepare the dishes, we use mainly local produce which we get directly at the producers. As to coffee and tea, we purchase the free-trade alternative.

Overnight stay at the Kaiblingalm

Do you remember how dark a night can be, how a sky full of stars looks like? Far away from disturbing advertising lights, you can experience this particular view from here. Away form the busy world, there is not much noise in our valley basin.

Golf & Countryclub Schladming-Dachstein

The 18-hole golf course is located in the heart of the Dachstein-Tauern region, between Schladming and Haus, at an altitude of 700 metres above sea level.

Bernhard Langer, one of the most famous and successful golf players, succeeded in transferring a touch of the courses of Florida to the Alpine region with this course. This course is one of the "Leading Golf Courses".

In winter, when the cold mountain air of the Schladminger Tauern whips across your face outside, the smell of homemade Kaiserschmarren wafting over from the Schafalm lures you inside the cozy hut. The friendly staff there do their part to guarantee a perfect break before your next run down the Planai. In the winter months, the Schafalm is also home to a number of woolly four-legged creatures, "Valais blacknose sheep" who spend the winter in the adjacent barn (which you are also invited to peek inside), before returning to the lush green alpine meadows of the Planai in summer. An absolute highlight at the Schafalm, especially for younger guests.
