Target shooting with the ice stocks is a fun diversion in winter, especially for groups. The Dorfgastein ice shooting club offers guests the opportunity to gain an insight into this winter sport.

Asphalt curling is also possible in summer.

As you know, you have a fantastic view of the mountains of Schladming-Dachstein everywhere on the Planai – even from the toilet. At the Sky Toilets at the Märchenwiesenbahn you can enjoy a great view – depending on the season – over lush green mountain meadows or perfectly groomed ski slopes.

You can already enjoy an impressive view of the striking Bischofsmütze and the imposing Dachstein massif on the journey on the Papagenobahn. Once you reach the mountain station at an altitude of 1,600 metres, you are treated to a magnificent view of the majestic Bischofsmütze, a true landmark of the region. You can reach the Singnix tree house in the Gallic ski village on Galsterberg via a small suspension bridge. Singnix is a villager who thinks he is a musical genius – but the rest of the village sees it differently and ties him to a tree at the slightest attempt at a vocal performance. With the Singnix tree house he got his own tree house from which he can look down.

► Thursday: Ski & Wine at the TOM Almhütte – your host Sepp Schwaiger accompanies you on a day of skiing with wine tasting
► Friday: Tasting of various sparkling wines from Austria for breakfast
► Saturday: Highest farmers' market in the Alps on the Steinbock Alm

A marvellous mountain backdrop and great views to the Dachstein – the Kaiblingalm is probably one of the most beautiful spots of all Styrian ski resorts. Easy to reach by the Alm 6er chairlift, one of Austria’s most modern and comfortable chairlifts: it is detachable, equipped with orange protection covers (“bubbles”), and has heated leather seats. Its base station is at 1,600 m, taking you up to an elevation of 1,950 m.
