With the elevator "World Cup Express", which is located directly next to the top station of the Schwarzwandbahn, you go up to the Gamskogel. Insgesamt 16 Skitouren, Steilabfahrten und Übergänge können von Ramsau am Dachstein bzw. ab der Bergstation der Dachstein Gletscherbahn befahren werden. Darunter auch Österreichs National-Skitour, die Dachsteinüberquerung nach Hallstatt. Diese Tour zählt zu den beliebtesten Touren in den Alpen und sind nicht allzu schwer. Auf einer 25 Kilometer langen Route von den Gipfelregionen des Dachsteins über die Simonyhütte und Gjaidalm führt die Tour hinab zum 2.000 m tiefer gelegenen Hallstätter See.
