On the artificial skating rink in the St. Johann town centre (next to the Hahnbaum winter lifts). You can hire ice skates.

During the day the Almbar is a popular ski chalet which is visited by skiers of the Faschinglifts. In the evening the Almbar converts into a fine restaurant with excellent food.

Every Thursday there is live music in the evening. The menu is extensive and sure to be something for every taste. On the wine list you will find the best Austrian wines.

No winter holiday is complete without trying an exciting toboggan ride, which is sure to bring back some fond childhood memories! What could be more beautiful, after all, than hurtling down the snowy winter landscape through the forest and into the valley?

The 2.5-kilometre long natural toboggan run is ideally maintained. Night owls will also be able to have their fun – with the toboggan run and walking route lit in the evening! 

The Alpentherme Bad Hofgastein offers fun and relaxing for the whole family. Various thematic areas offers also wellness, beauty, rehabilation and sports.

The Gamskogelhütte is one of the cosiest mountain restaurants with self-service in Zauchensee. This is where skiers and snowboarders also connoisseurs who go up with the comfortable 6-seater chairlift Gamskogel and leave again carrying down.

At 1900 m above sea level are waiting not only the large sun terrace and offers panoramic views, but also Pongauer specialties and international cuisine.

The Laireiter Alm is located at 1,850 m directly next to the Grossarltal panorama station. It offers space for 300 to 350 people in the interior. When the weather is fine, up to 500 people can enjoy the sun on our spacious terrace.

Der Planaihof liegt auf 1.800 m, am Ende der Planaistraße, direkt neben Onkel Willy‘s Hütte, am Sammelplatz der Skischule Planai, und rund 250 m westlich der Bergstation an der Piste 7a (Planaihof- Märchenwiese). Wir bieten unseren Gästen auch im Skiurlaub ruhige und gediegene Atmosphäre mit unserem Bergrestaurant und eine der schönsten Panoramaterrassen der Region. Ein echter Geheimtipp von Einheimischen und Stammgästen! Kulinarisch verwöhnen wir Dich mit unserer gut-bürgerlichen Küche und steirischen Spezialitäten wie unserem steirischen Mostbrat‘l und Schwarzbeerstrudel. Sledding enjoyment for the whole family promises the traffic-free natural run with a length of about 3 km at the Hotel Lammwirt.  You can either hike to the top, or enjoy a comfortable ride up there on the “Toboggan Express”.

For all who still want to take a fun sledding ride after dark, the sled run at the Hotel Lammwirt just right, the sled run is lit up until 11 p.m. Sled rental direct at the Hotel Lammwirt.

The Dachstein seems close enough to touch! The Kessleralm is the only hut right in the heart of the Planai (valley station Lärchkogel middle station cable car), all large slopes lead to the hut, it is therefore ideal as a meeting point. Relax, soak up the sun or flirt with après-ski at the beautiful umbrella bar: the central point of contact on the Planai! Accessible at any time by car or taxi.

Delicious culinary delights with a magnificent view on the Kaiblingalm ski trail

d'Genussalm is located directly on the ‘Kaiblingalm-Skiweg 6A’ piste - the connecting piste to the most wonderful runs on Hauser Kaibling. d'Genussalm is one of the AlmSkihütten and is one of a total of 16 huts on Hauser Kaibling.

In a comfortably modern hut ambience incl. sun terrace with a fantastic view of the Dachstein massif, connoisseurs get their money's worth with Kaiserschmarren and hot chocolate. You don't want to leave there? Then on top of that you can secure one of the new apartments, in rustic cozy style and equipped with all amenities.
