During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Waldgasthof some special highlights. 

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! Am Fuße des Planai Zielhangs lädt ab dieser Wintersaison die neue Ski Lounge „Finale“ zum gemütlichen Einkehrschwung ein.

The ice-arena at Bad Hofgastein offers three skating rinks, the equipement could be borrowed at the ice-arena.

Equipped with a PGS device, go on an exciting treasure hunt along the Königstour away from the ski slopes. Information, treasure map, coordinates, and GPS device are available at the Tourist Office.

The Strassalm is located in between of the valley stations of 3 chairlifts: Sonntagskogel, Strassalm and Hirschkogel.

The owners place great value on the quality of the meals they are serving, cooking whenever possible with products from the house-own farm!

On brilliantly beautiful winter days, the small hut out on the terrace is also open.
You can then enjoy your break out there on the sundeck!

The Flowtrail Hochkönig leads from the Bürglalm, below the reservoir, along a dirt road to the edge of the forest. From there starts an action-packed trail for the whole family - whether mountain biker or eBiker - the Flowtrail Hochkönig is suitable for every type of biker.
Through the idyllic landscape with a view of the Hochkönig, you feel pure adrenaline!
