From December 2023, Wolke 7 will be located at the new mountain station of the Kieserlbahn cable car in Grossarl. It will be heavenly, fluffy and very special here. With freshly cooked dishes, great wines, the best cocktails and candy floss. Sugar what? Yes, exactly – what else?

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Wolke 7 some special highlights. 

Are you in the mood for a new experience? Do you want to forget everyday life and to switch off?

Then it is time for Berg-Leben (mountain-life). Breathe in the fresh mountain air, live our freedom with us and enjoy the stunning nature. Whether by hiking, biking, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, climbing, yoga….or quite simply taking a break, relax and enjoy the inspiring views of the mountains around Großarl. There is nothing that makes man more grounded and able to find himself again than to feel and breathe nature in its uniqueness.

Holidays at Hochnössler in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee!
Fantastic location with stunning panoramic view of the Old Market and the surrounding mountains and hiking world. Summer and winter an experience!

The 4 km long floodlit toboggan run begins right at Hochnössleralm.
Sledding can be borrowed at the hut. A traditional mountain hut with

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! ...but none is as special as the Tom alpine cabin. This may be due to the fact that in the whole of Maria Alm, no, in the whole of Salzburger Land, there is no other alpine hut with a pug (Choupette is her precious name) as a mascot. But probably also because of how we run our hut. 

In addition to a spectacular mountain panorama, we offer a good dose of taste: modern architecture is combined with rustic hut charm, the bubbly for the sundowner is specially created and the menu delivers what an alpine hut promises. Anyone expecting a classic ski lodge on the mountain will be surprised here - but that's exactly how we like it.

Solely fresh local and regional produce is used for preparing the Austrian and international dishes; quite unlike the cuisine you would usually expect from an Alpine lodge eaterie. Aside from the classic Austrian rustic staples, such as spare ribs or beef filet the « Bellevue Alm » Fondue is top notch. Tempting, tasty snack dishes for in-between are also available. Classic kids‘ favourites ranging from fried pork escalope to „Berner“ sausages are on offer on the kids‘ menu. In a nutshell: good, plain cooking with served with some extra zing and at a reasonable price.
