From the terrace, the view of the Steinerne Meer with the Hochkönig is a feast for the eyes. At only 950 m above sea level, we offer hikers and cyclists a snack, warm home cooking and home-made pastries in summer. In the winter, we offer hearty and regional mountain food for lunch and dinner. Parking available, directly at the hut.

Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week from 14th to 21st March, 2026

During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Wiesenstadl some special highlights. 

March 8, 2026: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wine tasting at the Dachsl Winery

March 13, 2026: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wine tasting at the Joe Beyer Winery

Daniel Mairamhof, the innkeeper, has wholeheartedly specialised on local produce and selected wines. Hence, it is for a good reason that the hut 'Krummholzhütte' has become Austria's  '1. Genusshütte' and it has been presented the award "Europe's most popular ski hut 2013 & 2011".

Many celebrity guests come together here, as, for instance, for the event "Schneegenuss mit Haubenkoch Johann Lafer!" (delicacies with top chef Johann Laferl) or for the shooting of Hansi Hinterseer's "Wintertraum in Schladming"!

The "Peoples' Mountain" fame has increased rapidly. With its claim to being "small but beautiful" and its great family specials, the area is perfect for families. Ski tots will love the newly created adventure run at the top station of the popolo II chairlift and the children's adventure land. Teens will be thrilled by the terrain park with great rails, Daring skiers can try to beat an Olympian's time on the self timing speed run named after the top skier Andrea Fischbacher.
