During the skiing and wine tasting week from March 14 to 21, 2026, we offer our guests at the Sternalm some special highlights. 

The Reitlehenalm is located in a wonderful secluded location at 1,280 m directly on the ski slope in the ski area monte popolo in Eben in Salzburgerland. Enjoy our regional cuisine, best drinks and the incomparable view into the valley - the sun terrace of the Reitlehenalm and our Panorama Lounge offer the perfect setting for your chill-out time.

TIP: Art on the mountain, gallery "Liebmalerei" by the artist Johanna Schneider (boss) open daily.

One of the highest suspension bridges in Europe offers breathtaking mountain panoramas and thrills over a length of 140 metres at lofty heights. An unforgettable experience for adventure seekers and nature lovers.

In winter, the mountains attract skiers and snowboarders. The Gastein ski region in the heart of Austria comprises 4 ski areas with a total of 220 kilometres of pistes. But cross-country skiers also love the Gastein Valley and enjoy the healthy Nordic endurance sport on the valley trail or the snow-sure high-altitude trail. Those who want to get to know the cold season from its gentler side will find the opportunity to do so on winter hikes. Tobogganing and romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides are also possible in the white landscape. Snowshoe hike to the Karseggalm in Grossarl.

From the Breitenebenalm car park, snowshoe uphill along the goods road or along the shortcuts through the forest to the Breitenebenalm (not open in winter). Shortly before the Breitenebenalm, you pass a game reserve. The trail continues partly through the forest and partly over snow fields to the Karseggalm (not open in winter). At the Karseggalm you can enjoy the marvellous winter landscape. Return along the same route.
