We playfully introduce the little ones aged 3 to 5 years to skiing in play groups. There's something for everyone here: Romping around in the snow, building a snowman, having a wild snowball fight – fun is guaranteed here!

In bad weather, the play area invites you to race, paint, do handicrafts or romp around in the ball pool. One thing is for sure: it will NEVER get boring in the Kunterbunt children's club!

The way to the heart is through the stomach, and at the Jufenalm you can taste tradition! Our à-la-carte restaurant will spoil you with hearty and typically Austrian dishes that are prepared for you freshly, with plenty of passion, by using the best regional and seasonal produce. You can’t forget to have a delicious self-distilled schnapps to help you digest your meal though, of course!

In the middle of a breathtaking mountain world at 1,870 m – at the mountain station of the Tauern cable car – you can indulge yourself in the TOMiziel with regional specialties and a unique sun terrace including a view of the Dachstein.

The TOMiziel belongs to the AlmSkihütten and is one of a total of 15 skihuts on the Hauser Kaibling. One look says more than 1,000 words! Just looking at the umbrella bar it quickly becomes clear that you just have to stop here. Wood and glass dominate the architectural design, which fits perfectly into the ambience on the mountain and combines alpine lifestyle with a touch of modernity. The all-round glazing of the TOMiziel enables a 360-degree view of the breathtaking mountains.

The culinary offer spans a wide range, from hearty mountain breakfasts to piste burgers or Hüttengröstl to classics such as Kaiserschmarren or yeast dumplings.

Living in the Berggasthof Scharfetter
Experience the charm of the mountain rooms in summer as well as winter and relax at 1,800 m above sea level in the Berggasthof Scharfetter. The location is ideal for everyone who loves the feeling of being alone and being the first to draw tracks on the freshly groomed slope - you can set off before breakfast and enjoy it only after the first descent.

In winter, the mountains attract skiers and snowboarders. The Gastein ski region in the heart of Austria comprises 4 ski areas with a total of 220 kilometres of pistes. But cross-country skiers also love the Gastein Valley and enjoy the healthy Nordic endurance sport on the valley trail or the snow-sure high-altitude trail. Those who want to get to know the cold season from its gentler side will find the opportunity to do so on winter hikes. Tobogganing and romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides are also possible in the white landscape.
