Sledding enjoyment for the whole family promises the traffic-free natural run with a length of about 3 km at the Hotel Lammwirt.  You can either hike to the top, or enjoy a comfortable ride up there on the “Toboggan Express”.

For all who still want to take a fun sledding ride after dark, the sled run at the Hotel Lammwirt just right, the sled run is lit up until 11 p.m. Sled rental direct at the Hotel Lammwirt.

On the artificial skating rink in the St. Johann town centre (next to the Hahnbaum winter lifts). You can hire ice skates.

New-found tradition in the Alpine Beer Pub Markterwirt! The regional roots, the personal style of the Schneider family and the structural conditions constitute a unique atmosphere in the Gasthof in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. Our house, in the heart of Altenmarkt, is a typical tavern. For guests a place to get to know the country and its people and to experience warm hospitality. Savour regional specialities and international delicacies. Lovely, elegant dining areas and restaurant entice guests in to spend enjoyable hours here with us.

The 'Stöcklhütte' features a very tasty, fast, and hearty cuisine. The hut at an altitude of 1.250 metres above sea level is reachable by car, and seen that, even evening events can be organised. Groups are welcome on request!

Winter Recreation in Filzmoos

Filzmoos is a winter paradise for the entire family. Perfectly groomed slopes of all difficulty levels will delight skilled carvers and riders. The wide slope and open terrain are perfect for children, rookies and returners. Those wanting to demonstrate their skills can do so on the Michaela-Kirchgasser-FIS-run. Cross country skiers will not miss out in Filzmoos either. The high altitude cross country track with 16 km on the Rossbrand mountain is easily accessible with the Papageno cablecar. Skigebiete-test.de has awared Filzmoos "TOP skia area" in the category "skiareas with up to 20 kilometers".
