The Dachstein Ice Palace takes you into a mystical world of ice, deep inside the glacier. A special highlight is the throne made of ice, where visitors can take a seat and take an unforgettable photo in the fascinating icy landscape.

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! There are 2 shops of Sport Wielandner:

• one is situated in Alpendorf (only open during winter months)
• one is situated in the city centre of Sankt Johann

Sport Wielandner is a family run specilist shop which offers premium quality products for many sports like skiing, snowboarding, running, tennis etc.

We also offer ski rental (skis, boots, helmets, snowboards etc.)

Sparkling snow crystals as far as the eye can reach. Enjoy powder skiing at its best in the Dachstein glacier ski area, that is, unsurprisingly, also called 'Austria's ski touring Eldorado'. There are countless ski mountaineering tours, steep downhills, ski routes and freerides from and to the Dachstein plateau.

The most spectacular freeride run is the 'Edelgrieß', quite a challenge for even experienced mountaineers. 

Wonderful snowshoe hike through the winter landscape in the rear Ellmau valley.

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet with regional delicacies, freshly prepared egg dishes, home-made jams, everything that you could wish for. FreeRIDE Ski amadé

The fascinating thing about freeride tours is to draw your feelings in the snow in complete freedom and breathtaking nature. During such descents can occur through adrenaline influence extreme feelings of happiness which are called FLOW in the freeride scene.

Your guide will also familiarize you with the behavior on the mountain, avalanche transceiver (LVS), avalanche situation, companion rescue, etc..
