Ramsau am Dachstein bietet mit seinen vielen ständig präparierten Winterwanderrouten, Schlittenwegen und geräumten Forststraßen ideale Voraussetzungen auch im Winter mal aufs Fahrrad zu steigen.

In the middle of a breathtaking mountain world at 1,870 m – at the mountain station of the Tauern cable car – you can indulge yourself in the TOMiziel with regional specialties and a unique sun terrace including a view of the Dachstein.

The TOMiziel belongs to the AlmSkihütten and is one of a total of 15 skihuts on the Hauser Kaibling. One look says more than 1,000 words! Just looking at the umbrella bar it quickly becomes clear that you just have to stop here. Wood and glass dominate the architectural design, which fits perfectly into the ambience on the mountain and combines alpine lifestyle with a touch of modernity. The all-round glazing of the TOMiziel enables a 360-degree view of the breathtaking mountains.

The culinary offer spans a wide range, from hearty mountain breakfasts to piste burgers or Hüttengröstl to classics such as Kaiserschmarren or yeast dumplings.

Late baroque parish church, built in the years leading up to 1776, dedicated to St. Ulrich and St. Martin, large-scale restoration has taken place. Also worth seeing is the mountain graveyard, which is elaborately laid out in terrace form.

The church with its characteristic, crooked steeple and the Gothic architecture is among the oldest historic buildings in the valley. The tower, with rounded arch and acoustic windows in the upper story, had to be reinforced with a retaining wall in 1616, because it was already beginning to lean severely towards the northwest. We unfortunately do not know who the architect was.
The high altar inside the church has been remodeled several times. The jewel of the parish church is the late Gothic Madonna, created in 1460. It shows the Virgin Mary with child on a crescent moon. In 2001 parts of the church were renovated.

A secret spell must have been cast on this village - which is why the famous Austrian author, Karl Heinrich Waggerl, lived from 1920 until his death in 1973 in this charmingly situated house on the Kirchboden.
