The monument was set up in honour of Kaspar Steger, owner of the Knoller Farm in Flachauwinkl. He was one of the freedom fighters who drove Napoleon's troops back as far as Kuchl. Situated in front of the Raiffeisen Bank building.

Mit dem Postbus, Skibus oder Auto geht es bis nach Hüttschlag und weiter in den malerischen Talschluss. Ruhe und Stille bestimmen hier am Eingang zum Nationalpark Hohe Tauern das Tempo. Am gemütlichsten geht´s mit der Pferdekutsche weiter (Anmeldung erforderlich) oder man spaziert zu Fuß die 2 km durch die tief verschneite Winterlandschaft vorbei an einem Wildgehege bis hin zum Ötzlsee. Zurück zum Parkplatz am selben Weg.

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! Fun for the whole family is pre-programmed at the holiday highlight on the 1.6 km long summer toboggan run on the Biberg. Simply get in, activate the gear lever and off you go!
On the action-packed downhill run, you leave 345 metres in altitude, 61 curves and 3 super jumps behind you. Whether you want to be a speedy downhill runner or a leisurely pleasure tobogganer, you can easily set your own speed with the gear lever.

In a few minutes only, the Hauser Kaibling ski lifts take you to the highest point of Schladming's four interlinked mountains at 2,015 metres. Once at the top, you can enjoy gorgeous panoramic views across the Ennstal valley and the Dachstein mountains. Take some fun pictures with the pink sheep that awaits you on top!
