In summer, the Gabühelhütte is a worthwhile destination for many hikers and mountain bikers and in winter it is a meeting place for skiers, winter hikers and ski tourers, as the rustic hut is only 200 meters below the Gabühelbahn mountain station. We also warmly welcome bus and smaller wedding parties!

You will be spoiled at the Gabühelhütte in the Hochkönig region, especially with Pinzgau specialties, because the "farmer's donuts" made by the landlady Klara are known far beyond the borders. But also a hearty snack, cranberry dumplings, cheese dumplings or a grill plate can be found on the extensive menu.

Für Genießer ist allerdings Zweiteres, das Bauernladenstüberl ein heißer Tipp: Denn dort gibt es nachweislich den besten Käse Österreichs. Im Sommer 2018 gewann Familie Aichhorn („Kreebauer“) vom Bauernladenstüberl mit der Genusskrone die höchste und nur alle 2 Jahre vergebene Auszeichnung aller Direktvermarkter des Landes für den besten Schnittkäse Österreichs 2018 und 2019. Diesen Gaumenschmaus sollte man sich keinesfalls entgehen lassen.
