The Fichtel country on Hochbifang in Altenmarkt
On the Altenmarkt side of the Radstadt / Altenmarkt there on Hochbifang a unique forest with very special trees. In this forest grow namely spruces with extraordinary abilities! Every year in winter the spruce throw their Fichtenzapfen on the forest floor, and from some of these pins there are formed small creatures that exist only in this forest in Altenmarkt: the Fichtel!

Gratis Skibus im Grossarltal

Kostenlosen Skibus für alle SkifahrerFür alle Skifahrer, die die Talstationen der Bergbahnen nicht zu Fuß erreichen und trotzdem mal gerne Urlaub vom Auto machen wollen, bieten die Großarler Bergbahnen im gesamten Tal einen kostenlosen Skibus an.

Der gratis Skibus verkehrt im Ortsgebiet im 7 bzw. 15 Minutentakt. Richtung Hüttschlag und weiter bis in den Talschluss sowie Richtung St. Johann bis zur Haltestelle Gollegg fährt der Skibus nach einem fixen Fahrplan 5 Mal pro Halbtag. Ebenso fährt ein kostenloser Skibus ins Ellmautal.

Sie können mit dem kostenlosen Skibus auch ins benachbarte Alpendorf in St. Johann im Pongau fahren. Das ist Ihr Anschluss in die Salzburger Sportwelt. Natürlich können Sie auch die gratis Skibusse im Gasteinertal nutzen und somit die Skigebiete in Gastein erkunden.

Winter Recreation in Filzmoos

Filzmoos is a winter paradise for the entire family. Perfectly groomed slopes of all difficulty levels will delight skilled carvers and riders. The wide slope and open terrain are perfect for children, rookies and returners. Those wanting to demonstrate their skills can do so on the Michaela-Kirchgasser-FIS-run. Cross country skiers will not miss out in Filzmoos either. The high altitude cross country track with 16 km on the Rossbrand mountain is easily accessible with the Papageno cablecar. Skigebiete-test.de has awared Filzmoos "TOP skia area" in the category "skiareas with up to 20 kilometers".

If this bar didn’t already exist, you would have to invent it. This is where things really get going, and keep going until the early morning hours. On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! On the artificial skating rink in the St. Johann town centre (next to the Hahnbaum winter lifts). You can hire ice skates.
