What makes us a world champion ski school? In 2001 our ski school were  world champions in formation skiing; something we are still proud of today!

Winter sports museum

Display of the general ski and winter sports history, with emphasis on the development of winter sports in the village of Haus im Ennstal with its Hauser Kaibling. During main season (summer and winter), open on Tuesdays from 10.00 h to 12.00 h and on Wednesdays from 16.30 h – 18.30 h. During low season, please contact us in cast you wish to visit the museum.

Let us spoil you in winter in our hut and on our sun terrace in the best location! Originally the Sommererbauer's stables, our "Stadl" has blossomed into one of the most rustic après-ski huts in Dienten am Hochkönig. The original year 1806 on the beam in the centre of the Bründl Stadl bears witness to its historical origins. Our open fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere in our Stadl. On our terrace you can enjoy the sun and at the same time admire the marvellous panorama of the incomparable Hochkönig.

We offer traditional cuisine. Especially the freshly prepared spare ribs are a favourite among our guests from our extensive menu. Our wine list is certainly a highlight! We try to give you a small overview of different Austrian wines with an enormous range. Let our 2 young sommeliers Lukas and Michael advise you.

Ski & Wine Enjoyment Week from 9th to 16th March, 2024

During the Ski and Wine Enjoyment Week from 9th to 16th March 2024, 60 different Austrian wine rarities from top winegrowers (Prager, Kollwentz, Knoll, etc.) will also be offered by the glass throughout the week. This gives guests an unusual opportunity to enjoy Austrian wines of the highest quality.

On three downhills in the skiarea Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl you can become a ski-superstar: Full speed ahed on the skimovie parallel-slalom and on the skimovie funslope mixed race on Gamskogel and shred down the slope at skimobie giant slalom at Kogelalm! An excursion to the summit of the Stubnerkogel is definitely worthwhile: enthroned over the 140 m long suspension bridge which swings gently in the wind is the new, attractive viewing platform with the distinctive name “Glocknerblick”. The diameter of the round viewing plateau is 7 m. It is made mainly out of steel and wood. The platform is secured on the sides by wire mesh through which you can still enjoy the view. Glass in the floor at the front, which juts out over the mountainside, allows an unhindered view of the depths below.

The Grossarler Panoramastube is located at 1.800 m above sea level in the middle of the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski area, right at the mountain station of the 6-seater Harbach chairlift. In addition to the 39 comfortable rooms, the Panoramastube also has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights. From the rich breakfast buffet to great dishes made primarily from local products.
