A winter holiday at the Hochkönig brings you untroubled snow fun. Because modern snowmaking equipment and groomers provide boundless driving pleasure even if the weather should take a break. Equipped with a 1,800 m² wellness landscape of diverse pool and sauna world, beautifully designed relaxation rooms with personal resting place, fitness zones, beauty & spa treatments and all this with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain panorama of the Grossarl Valley in Salzburg Land! The 'Stöcklhütte' features a very tasty, fast, and hearty cuisine. The hut at an altitude of 1.250 metres above sea level is reachable by car, and seen that, even evening events can be organised. Groups are welcome on request!

Athletes perform live acts such as formation skiing, nostalgic skiing, tandem skiing, complementary to the music and video animated multimedia show portrayed on a large screen.

Mikaela Shiffrin, Petra Vlhova, Marlies Raich, Frida Hansdotter, Veronika VelezZuzulová, Maria Höfl-Riesch. These are the names of the skiers who skied to victory on the Hermann Maier FIS World Cup course and were thus crowned Snow Space Salzburg Princesses. 

Would you like to follow in the tracks of these and other famous and great ski stars? Do you want to ski down the same course and experience the same feeling? Then you've come to the right slope at the Hermann Maier FIS World Cup course in Flachau. 

In 2003, the slope was renamed the "Hermann Maier FIS World Cup Course". And for good reason, after all, the multiple ski world champion and Olympic champion is a true Flachau native. In the middle of the skiing area Snow Space Salzburg, part of Austria's greatest skiing Ski amadé, tangible racing fever awaits you on a course length of more than 600 metres.

In 2021 and 2022, the men's World Cup squad also visited Snow Space Salzburg. Atle Lie McGrath (2022) and Manuel Feller (2021) can also count themselves among the winners on the Hermann Maier World Cup course since then. 

5, 4, 3, 2, 1... go... Experience the feeling of standing at the starting gate. The Hermann Maier World Cup starting gate is a must-visit and is a photo point on your way through Snow Space Salzburg.

Eating & drinking in the Johann
We always rely on the best quality of our products. It is therefore only logical to obtain the majority of our meat and dairy products from our own farm in the neighboring village of Pichl.

This commitment is again worth an award for Gault Millau in 2019. This year we even got a second hood with 14.5 points. Up to now, with 14 points, we had a constant 1 hood for 7 years.
