Nach dem Skitag ist Glieder entspannen angesagt, aber ein paar neue Entdeckungen haben noch Platz. So fährt man ins Tal und dort entweder zu Fuß oder mit dem Skibus ins Ortszentrum von Großarl. Im Troadkastn“, dem neuen Bauernladen in Großarl locken unzählige heimische Schmankerl, vom typischen Sauerkäse über selbst geräucherten Speck bis hin zum süßen Almrosenblüten-Honig (geöffnet Di, Mi, Fr, Sa). Direkt gegenüber befindet sich das Atelier Astei mit traditioneller, überwiegend aber zeitgenössisch moderner Schnitzkunst. Für Anhänger zeitlos schöner Trachtenmode findet sich unweit das 2018 neu eröffnete Geschäft von „Almsommer Trachtenmode“.

Sonnalm Zauchensee – Sense of home and cosiness at 1740 metre altitude int the middle of the ski area Zauchensee. Traditional cottage in old wood with great sun terrace and outlook to the mountain world directly at the slope. Zur Haustür hinaus, Ski anschnallen und los geht`s – während die anderen im Tal noch auf den Lift warten wedelst du schon durch den frischen Pulverschnee!

Seit Winter 2013/14 haben wir – Sandra und Hans Peter Gruber – das traditionelle Wagrainer Haus übernommen. Es liegt nur wenige Meter von unserem Almstadl entfernt.

Wir begrüßen Sie auf 1750m Höhe im Ski- und Wandergebiet Flachau-Wagrain. Aufgrund der einzigartigen Lage erreicht man uns im Winter nur mittels  Gondel oder Skiern (bis 16.00 Uhr) – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.

Freundlichkeit und Gastlichkeit kombiniert mit Standards die in unserer Region üblich sind. Nicht zu vergessen, unser aus Amerika importierter Barbecue-Smoker, aus dem wir ab sofort wieder die legendären und schmackhaften Spare Ribs servieren.

Skisport verewigt.  Alle diese Skistars haben auf Peter Hörls legendärer
Rennpiste bei den Hinterreit-Liften in Maria Alm trainiert und sich so
für ihre Rennen im Ski-Weltcup in Form gebracht

Skiing & Wine Enjoyment Week – 11th to 18th March 2023

On Wednesday 15 March 2023, the Burgstallhütte is all about "Wine meets cheese: wines from all over Austria with dessert and cheese" with sommelier Maria Reiter and multiple gold award-winning Kuchl cheese maker Georg Wimmer.

Sledding enjoyment for the whole family promises the traffic-free natural run with a length of about 3 km at the Hotel Lammwirt.  You can either hike to the top, or enjoy a comfortable ride up there on the “Toboggan Express”.

For all who still want to take a fun sledding ride after dark, the sled run at the Hotel Lammwirt just right, the sled run is lit up until 10 p.m. Sled rental direct at the Hotel Lammwirt.
