The Chapel of St. Ann is the oldest building in St. Johann, formerly the place where bones were stored, dating from 1520. Situated in the town centre, next to Pongauer Dom.

In winter the countryside is especially well suited for pursuing the sport of cross-country skiing. The 45 kms on extensively laid out and extremely well-groomed loipes of Salzburg's Sun Terrace (7 kms with snow-making), guarantee an unforgettable cross-country experience.

On the over 600 meter long sound slope on the Planai, you are accompanied by various musical sounds while carving, wedeling and swinging. The modern sound technology ensures exceptional listening pleasure and, in combination with the wide slopes, good moods are guaranteed here.

The present building that houses the museum, the "Hoamathaus", was built around 1408 and was mainly used in former times to accommodate the miners who mined ore in the region, and especially in Flachau.
